## What Philter products are — and are not
Philter devices are passive, personal exhale filters. You inhale from your own vaporizer or smoking accessory as usual, then exhale *into* the PHREND or POCKET. The device filters what you breathe out. It is powered by nothing but your own breath.

Philter products are NOT vapes, e-cigarettes, ENDS, heat-not-burn devices, or nicotine/cannabis products. They contain no battery, no heating element, no e-liquid, and no aerosol of their own. They do not produce smoke or vapor — they capture it.

## How Zero-5™ filtration works
Zero-5™ is Philter's patented five-stage microfiltration system, packed into a pocket-sized device to deliver clinical-grade air purification on every exhale. It traps particles as small as 0.3 microns with 99.75% efficiency, capturing particulates, carcinogens, viruses, and bacteria while neutralizing odor.

- **Smooth exhale:** Proprietary airflow reduces back pressure, so you exhale naturally without the "blocked straw" resistance of ordinary filters.
- **99.75% elimination:** Medical-grade HEPA filtration layers trap and remove toxic particulates, including carcinogens, viruses, and bacteria.
- **Odor neutralization:** Specialized media scrubs Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) to eliminate lingering odors and airborne irritants.
- **Antimicrobial capture:** A filtration phase captures and destroys bacteria and viruses from your breath before they reach the air you share.
- **Clean air release:** The result is a virtually invisible, odorless output — up to 500 exhales per PHREND cartridge (about 150 per POCKET).

Cartridges are biodegradable, made from a plant-based polymer that decomposes in a landfill in under three years, versus centuries for standard plastics. The reusable device case stays; only the cartridge is replaced.
